The Little Black Jacket Taipei

On June 14th, CHANEL opened the exhibition The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld at the Multi-Showcase Hall in SONGSHAN CULTURAL & CREATIVE PARK, a celebration to the modernity and timelessness of the CHANEL jacket.

The exhibition, installed in a vast industrial yet historical space reminiscing the 1930’s, showcases around one hundred photographs depicting celebrities and other personalities in the iconic piece, lensed by Karl Lagerfeld and selected from the forthcoming book The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld.

Guests at the opening included CHANEL ambassadors Gaspard Ulliel and Anna Mouglalis and actress Vivian Hsu.

Leave it to CHANEL to create one-of-a-kind, exquisite exhibits - this time in Las Vegas. The iconic brand invited A-list celebrity guests and industry insiders to view Numéros Privés, a breathtaking installation that featured brand’s legendary coders - a replica of Coco Chanel’s apartment was one of them. The exhibit ran for only 8 days, until January 28th and by invitation only at Wynn Hotel.

VIP guests included Diane Kruger, Alexa Chung, Jessica Alba, Lily Collins, Sophie Auster and Dree Hemingway - all dressed in CHANEL and flown to Las Vegas with a fleet of private jets from New York and Los Angeles. The exhibit showcased ten magical spaces where figures, materials, colours, coveted objects and symbols were transformed and reinterpreted.

A special performance by Imelda May surprised the guests during the dinner party.

More than an installation, Numéros Privés is contemporary and limited excursion into the enchanted world of CHANEL.

CHANEL has recently opened a new boutique in one of the most alluring places in the world - the French Alps. Located in Courchevel, it exudes the atmosphere of CHANEL's signature luxury and elegance.

The ambience of the store features honeyed tones of sycamore flooring - reminiscent of the “Exclusifs de CHANEL" fragrance line. The biggest surprise awaits when the visitor reaches the far end of the store: CHANEL promises the most exquisite view of the entire Courchevel valley.

Store entrance is decorated with four Mademoiselle Chanel white ceramic statues. The inside of the store is nothing less than impressive: spanning 17 metres from the entrance to the far wall, space decor is inspired by minimalism.

While ladies shop CHANEL's 2011/2012 Cruise Collection and Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, their significant others are invited to wait in a cosy lounge installed with iPads.
