On June 14th, CHANEL opened the exhibition The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld at the Multi-Showcase Hall in SONGSHAN CULTURAL & CREATIVE PARK, a celebration to the modernity and timelessness of the CHANEL jacket.
The exhibition, installed in a vast industrial yet historical space reminiscing the 1930’s, showcases around one hundred photographs depicting celebrities and other personalities in the iconic piece, lensed by Karl Lagerfeld and selected from the forthcoming book The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld.
Guests at the opening included CHANEL ambassadors Gaspard Ulliel and Anna Mouglalis and actress Vivian Hsu.
This fall CHANEL celebrates its most iconic and timeless creation, the signature black jacket, with a book release.
The Little Black Jacket: CHANEL’s classic revisited by Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfleld will feature hundreds of photographs that capture the classic and reinvented jacket being worn by some of the world’s most fashionable women including Vanessa Paradis, Sarah Jessica Parker and Saskia de Brauw.
An exhibition to accompany the book release will run from March 24th until April 15th 2012 in Tokyo.
